PC Tools (Founded in 2003 [1]), formerly known as, is a software company headquartered in Australia with offices in the USA, UK, Ireland and Ukraine. It develops and distributes security and optimization software for the Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows platforms. There are over 200 employees. PC Tools has won nearly 100 separate awards for its products.

Acquisition by Symantec[]

On August 18, 2008, Symantec announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire PC Tools, but PC Tools will maintain separate operations.[2]
